Tips for the best Garlic Parsley Butter

Make sure that you chop the garlic finely before incorporating it into the butter.  You don’t want to bite into chunks of garlic while enjoying your meal.  I guess that isn’t so appetizing don’t you agree?

Similarly, use only parsley leaves because the parsley stems are so hard and are not appropriate for this recipe.

Also, make sure that all your herbs are finely minced for best results.  I usually use a food processor to chop my herbs. A food processor makes the chopping process a breeze. But this is equally achieved by using a knife.

How to use garlic parsley butter

Enjoy your garlic parsley butter with some homemade bread or grilled meats.  This butter is not only perfect for cooking stews and curries but also baking breads like this Garlic Bread.

This garlic parsley butter is so versatie, you don’t have to chop your garlic every time you want to cook or bake.

Storing Herb-infused Butter

Store your garlic parsley butter for up to one week in the refrigerator; 6 months in the freezer. Instead of freezing a big batch in one container, you may wish to cut it into smaller portions, and freeze separately.

Keep the garlic parsley butter in a tight container. Butter picks up odors easily, so the container will protect it from developing off-flavors from the other foods in your fridge and freezer.

Substituting Parsley for Coriander leave

Substitute parsley for the coriander leaves with equally delicious results! Yep, just sub an equal amount of parsley for the cilantro with wonderful results. Just avoid using the stems. Unlike parsley, cilantro stems have wonderful flavor and aren’t bitter.

Parsley vs. Coriander

In terms of flavour and aroma, coriander, which is also known as Cilantro, is stronger than parsley and celery. Parsley is more delicate and carries a mild flavour and aroma compared to coriander. Also, coriander leaves are slightly lighter green and round, whereas Parsley leaves are dark green in colour and sharper.

In short, they are both suitable for this garlic parsley butter; it just depends on your preference.
